Christmas day Western Front 1914, morale is low within the trenches for the lads with thoughts of being back home with loved ones. The true spirit of Christmas is not lost on Tommys' father, aka Tommy.  Him and 10 of his mukkas seize the opportunity and head out to no man's land for a kickabout with the Germans.

OP Christmas Calm is an old school Ceylon black tea with spicy citrus and creamy chocolate notes that develop to an aromatic finish. Perfect for a fresh morning to warm you up and get you into the Christmas spirit, enjoying your time with family and friends, in peace and calm.

Op Christmas Calm has 2.5g of whole leaf tea per individual bag. We use SOILON® biodegradable pyramid mesh teabags made from poly lactic acid polymer resin by lactic fermentation of glucose, derived from corn starch, by an enzyme and polymerization (basically it's good for the planet i.e ally AF) Our tea bags use an innovative pyramid design which is essential in a number of ways and help to ensure optimum brewing.

30 teabags are held within the delightful, heat-sealed for freshness, pouch.

Enjoy this with or without milk or in a true Indian Chai style, chuck a couple of tea bags into a saucepan of milk, add a few teaspoons of sugar and keep stirring as it heats up. This blend has taken inspiration from an Indian Chai, with a modern Christmas style twist.

Indian Chai would have no doubt been enjoyed in the trenches and shared amongst the lads from the thousands of Indian troops that answered the call to King and Empire. They have not been remembered enough for what they did during the war, from stopping the advancing German troops at Ypres in the autumn of 1914 whilst the British were still recruiting and training troops, to serving in every major theatre throughout the war. Give a thought when enjoying this Chai.
